the trans* community is left out in the cold. If you’re queer, you need to be out and if you’re out, you need to be an activist and if you’re an activist, you need to be helping those situationally less fortunate which for those of us who can “pass” in mainstream society and don’t get bullied, that means standing up for those who DO get bullied and doing everything we can to protect people like Brandy Martell and raising holy Hell when bad things happen to them!

“Christians” want to take time out of their busy day to run down and jeer and hold signs at things like pride parades or any place queers are somewhere being fabulous. Or they wanna pretend to love a child who is gay while calling his/her behavior abominable (which does in fact, condone and encourage violence, aka, BULLYING against those same kids. REAL Christians would be out in the world using their time constructively to take meals to some homebound senior citizens, visit a sick kid in the hospital, feed/shelter/befriend some homeless folks, etc. Hypochristianity needs to just. stop. Jesus would not have ever wasted his time at a motherfucking gay pride parade unless maybe he was invited to be the grand marshall.

what then? no fucking big deal since i’m still not making you be straight or gay or bi or whatever. you are free to consensually fuck whomever you want or not. that’s the point that’s missed when Clarke Cooper and bigot Bryan Fischer debate the homosexuality issue. Clarke’s contention is that it’s not a choice while bigot Bryan Fischer (who really shouldn’t be granted the time in front of a camera that he is) contends that it is a choice. that’s when the interviewer needs to jump in and ask, “whoa, bigot, what if you’re right…what if it IS a choice? is that somehow gonna make you motherfucking queer? is that gonna harm your marriage and your family if i up and decide to be gay one day? if so HOW? GIVE ME EVIDENCE!!!” i love the Bible. i do not, however, believe the Bible is INFALLIBLE. people who do think it is INFALLIBLE have a lot of explaining to do. I love being a Christian. I just wish more folks would get the message right.
outside of an ad hominem attack every once in a while, Dan Savage holds his own and is Vulcanly logical when he admonishes “conservative” groups. I put quotation marks around that word because conservative has so many meanings these days. when i use it in regards to myself, i mean in a sense that indicates more fiscal liberty as well as more social liberty. that’s libertarianism and ACTUAL conservatism in a nutshell. these “conservative” groups that jump all over dan savage really aren’t conservative at all. they are activists who wants laws made to harm other people, to take away freedoms, to strip the humanity away from certain segments of the population. they want laws to protect their narrowmindedness. i think there ought to be a bad word to refer to these people—people like Joel Osteen. oh, wait, there is a word it’s called fucking HYPOCRITE, oh, and BIGOT. jesus loves hims some fags but jesus doesn’t love hypocritical bigots who run around getting his message all kinds of fucked up.
